I have 6 lovebirds now. My male and female had 4 babies about 6 weeks ago. There is one runt which I worry a little about. I never expected babies ,so this is very new for me. I am almost 80 years old and have never had baby birds. I worry that I'm doing the wrong things, but al are alive and I think the parents are still feeding them. The three babies are out of the nest box. The little runt appears to be growing, but is still in the nest box. I have two cages together, one little and one larger. I ordered a larger one, thinking I would keep them all. Would love some help. Please if you could help , I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much, Marcia

hi. I will look for some links.
You should be offering a seperat shallow dish , I use a casserole dish, and spread out lots if veggies chopped up. Leafy greens like Swiss chard. Yiu can cook lentils, quinoa, abd oatmeal and offer that as well warm . Once ir twice a week boiled chopped up egg.

What are you feeding? What do adults eat??,

An easy way to post a pic
Is click go advanced under the text box, then hit the paperclip, choose a picture, on tge far right says upload, hut that. When it loads, close window, and post it will add picture under the post.

Thank you so much > I am feeding everyone Volkman's seeds, millet and I boil featherglow soak and serve beans and letils. They also have carrots in it and corn. They are all good eaters. The babies are now out of the nestbox ,except for the runt. They are all eating everything. The parents still feed them. I tried to give them egg, but they didn't like it. (i gave the parents egg). should I try to give it to the babies. I sooo appreciate your help. I am having a bit of a problem navigating this forum. I will try to do it. Again thank you, thank you!!

sure I'm having trouble finding my weaning and baby parrot links.

I can say warmth is huge. Keeping them between 80-90 Fahrenheit is important. If full feathers 80 is probably the aim. Being warm enough, saves calories, increases digestion, ect.
