2 peach faced lovebirds - male & female
My peach faced lovebird duo laid 5 eggs, out of which 2 hatched. Both are 3.5 weeks old but I don't know the gender yet. Both parents are not hand tamed. I would like to know a few things.
1. How can I start hand taming both baby lovebirds?
2. Since they are siblings, would they bond to each other instead of me? How can I bond with both of them?
3. I read somewhere that siblings fight after growing up. Is it true? If yes, what measures would I need to take?
4. Can I keep them with their parents in the same big cage or will I need to separate them once they are a few months old?

I'm in desperate need of genuine advice as people have written contradictory things on different platforms. Please help.

1. You won't be able to fully tame them unfortunately as you did not take them in for handfeeding at an early age, but by taking them out of the nest and handling them every day, and offering them foods once they fledge you May have a chance at getting them somewhat tame

2. Most likely no, unless they are male and female they might bond together. Just feed them and sit near the cage and act calm around them and they might settle down, but as I said they more than likely won't bond with you as you havent handreared them

3. If they are 2 males or 2 females they will fight. In that case you will either need a bigger cage or 2 separate cages to keep them apart.

4. You can keep them together for a few months, but after that it would be advisable to separate as Lovebirds can be nasty little things and when they bite they bite hard! Also if they were still kept with the parents they would interfere with any further attempts at the parent birds breeding
