Today Errol and Flynn have been making a bit of noise sometimes reaching a very decibel of sound. I have to say its something that I've been waiting for, for the longest time, Before they came here they were not allowed to make a sound!!

The hard work is really paying off, they both feel comfortable now to make as much noise as they can and no one, NO ONE will be banging on the cage or yelling at them or worse. Flynn has had the odd tweet everynow and again but usually when I was upstairs or in another room, she has gradually been talking (in her own language) to the tiels but today Errol joined in, the more the tiels talked the more Errol and Flynn talked and vice versa. It was great. I made a great point to tell them how clever they were, to which Errol fluffed himself up and stuck his chest out and looked so proud of himself :59: :59: :59:

I'm glad they are feeling more comfortable. Keep up the good work!

What kind of birds are Errol and Flynn? Whatever they are, sounds like congratulations are in order!

Greylady, that's good news! We had brought a couple tiels home 2yrs ago that were so quiet for the first few wks. They had more going on, but it was really something else to see them light up and start moving and vocalizing freely. I know how you feel---congrats! :propeller :24_shocke :propeller :24_shocke

Michael, Errol is a golden mantle rosella and Flynn is a lineolated parakeet, I rescued them about 2 years ago now, its a really slow process but they are getting there. They have always made little tiny tweets, but never very loud and only once in a while, I think when they get out in the aviary they will be a lot better.
