anyways, they seemed to have enjoyed it. got a few photos to share

they are flight suits. you can buy them here: Avian Fashions - Home of the Revolutionary Bird Diaper, the FlightSuit!

i attach the leash differently though so theres no chance they can undo the velcro.

ONE of the flight suits i have for my birds i made myself. guess which one :D i use them as harnesses though, not as diapers. dont like them used as diapers myself.

They are beautiful. I made the mistake of originally looking at this on my phone while my niece was getting ready to read to me and she saw them and got all excited thinking I was getting another bird lol. I had to explain to her that these were someone elses birds and they were just sharing pictures of them.

haha kids are something else, eh?

i had to deter some kids from wanting to hold tsuka because he bites hard and bites often, i even showed them scars from him and they still wanted to hold him. nope, not chancing it. they could hold dally, shes never bitten in her life and shes incredibly patient, tolerant, and gentle with kids of all ages.

but i dont trust anyone holding tsuka because i dont trust him not to chomp them since he's easily set off.

seems kids think if you say they cant do something they want to do it more :p

hope your niece wasnt too let down that you werent getting more :D

She understands that because I'm not allowed to work right now (which really sucks and is driving me crazy) Rocky and Riley are it for me right now. She keeps asking me to bring Riley over to come see her which I told her I would but I also explained that I need to Riley a harness and that she needs to get her tail feathers back first and then she can hold Riley. I'm glad you made sure to keep Tsuka out of the hands of neighborhood children I could just see the lawsuits piling up if your bird bit them.

So cute :) They're really beautiful Cockatiels too. Looks like they're thoroughly enjoying the great outdoors! Canada has some of the most gorgeous scenery, but I don't envy the harsh winters. In fact I can't even fathom how cold it gets up there.

last winter--we got to -40, thats extreme for my area, normal winters are anywhere between -10 to -25 C. but im as far south as you can get in canada lol well, almost. pelee island is as far south in canada. i dont mind the cold, i hate the heat. it gets 85-100F every summer here and i hate it haha. but theres a point where your nostrils freeze when you breathe that its just too cold. by february i want spring to come lol

and regarding the possibility of tsuka biting someone, yes i do worry about lawsuits. thats why no one is allowed to hold him. he has bitten through my finger nail quite a few times and to be honest hes left more scars on my hands than munch. he lets go and keeps biting. but he bites so hard i swear i hear my skin crunch  so like heck im letting anyone hold him, especially little kids with delicate fingers. plus, little kids love to touch birds wings ive noticed, theyve always poked and stroked dally's wings. tsuka would freak--he HATES his wings touched. so also best he doesnt go through that stress.

dally, kids can touch anywhere. feet, beak, wings, tail, belly. she doesnt care. just puts her head down and demands them to pet her lol

We've just had a ridiculously warm August here in northwestern Australia (below the Tropic of Capricorn, so subtropical) with two days over the previous record maximum (33 & 34C, record was 31.5C) and the record average max for the month smashed (by 3 degrees C, which is huge, normally records are broken by decimals of a degree). September is proving much milder so far, and we even had some rain, about 50% in 4 days of what we'd had over the entire year previously. Well to our north, in the tropics, several places had record cool temps for August. Weird all over, I just hope we don't have hot summers like the last two, where I live is coastal and is temp usually moderated by a strong seabreeze, but it failed a lot over summer.

I can't wait to leave the mainland (of Oz) and go to Tasmania. A few months yet....

Thanks for sharing these pics, Casey! I'm a little jealous of the level of your harness training. Haha! All Bixby wants to do when I put his aviator harness on him is spend the entire time chewing it! Smh.

Oh, and I'll take a stab at your challenge to guess which of the flight suits you made yourself.

Is it the one that looks like a blue dress? It's beautiful, btw.

Casey, THANK YOU for sharing the pics of the beautiful day you had! The snow here has melted, and the temp is supposed to be in the early 20`s (C) this weekend, so I may have sent the weather over to you by accident:(

I so love that flight suit you made! Shows you how talented you are that Stephen guessed the wrong one:)

Nah you sent over a monsoon, not snow. Hasn't stopped raining at all, got drenched on the way to work and even at work because the roof leaked.
