After his bath, Milo loves to be wrapped like a burrito as I pretend to eat him. And then he makes the munchie noises back. After our little ritual, I take coconut oil between my fingers and rub it on his beak and feet (which he relishes).

He gets so relaxed that he closes his eyes.

Dang you! I purposely avoided this post, afraid of 'awe' overload! Now I am going to have to go kick one of my teammates, just to balance out!

OMG that is the cutest thing! Birdy Spa Treatments! I wish my 2 little monsters would let me wrap them up like that. They get to nibble on bits of coconut oil, but I never though about rubbing it on their beaks and feet.

I'm on "awe" overload to, lol.

Thank you everyone! I'll tell Milo about his/her new fans (isn't that sad? I've never sexed Milo. I really should get to that)

Regardless of gender (I'm suspecting female), Milo enjoys the spa days just the same.

Rubbing it on Milo's beak and feet really helps the skin stay supple (lol)

But it also makes his beak gorgeous. When I'm done, he rubs his beak and essentially polishes it.

i also take a very thin film between my fingers and lightly (very lightly) rub it on the surface of his feathers. It makes the feathers glow, stimulates healthy preening, and moisturizes everything.

That^ however, was some trial and error. One time I used just a little too much...he looked like a greasy chicken for a week. My family was joking and said that he was ready for frying.

What a horrible thought. Never again.
