19 wide 23 long 28 tall. Jet

What about Ace

13. 15. 17

I know Joys is

9. 11. 13

How long should I give her to settle in before making another major change?

Did she come in the small cage? You can always get a larger cage and set them up together with the doors open against each other and allow her to "explore" her new digs at her own pace.

Yes that's the cage she is used too. I will try that. What do you think about the other fids cage size?

Puck I got her a cage that's the same approximately as Aces. I set the new cage up in front of her while she was out leaving only the original belongings in the tiny cage. I left both doors open and sat the old cage on top of the new one. She never went back into her old cage. She adjusted immediately and perfectly to her new home.

It might have helped that all three of them have the same toy. (Familiar). I think she enjoys having so much room.

Yes they are all too small.

18x18x24 I would say is the smallest you can have for a budgy; and even that is too small.

Jet's is likely alright; seems large enough for the moment. Though I'd say longer is better than taller.

Why not put Joy in Jet's old cage?

My budgies share a 22x22x23

My Broto has one the same size.

A lot of it depends on factors like how active vs sedate the individual is, and if the bird is "used to" a more modest size cage or not. In general, a healthy budgie is so active (even hyper) that although tiny, they really IMHO should have as large a flight cage as possible.

On the other hand, my Red Bellied parrot has been used to (and quite comfortable in) a 24x22" for a couple of decades! Even then, he doesn't use every inch of the cage. He's pretty sedate. He's free to come out a lot of the time, but even when his door is open, many times he chooses to sit inside on a favorite branch gnawing on a toy for some time. But back to your question about budgie cages, budgies are most definitely a species that need as much room as you can afford to give.

I always say to get the biggest cage you can afford. I do NOT recommend putting your fids in the same cage. Their bond will be stronger than the one they have with you. Personally, I believe the cages you have are a bit too small, but fine.
