Hates Bath

I just got a parakeet about a month ago, he will get on my shoulder. But I cant get him to take a bath he hates getting sprayed, and wont take a bath out of a bowl, but he goes crazy when he hears running water but when i take him towards the water he trys to get away. pleas help me.thanks

Try spraying the water up so that the water mist falls on the bird rather than being directly shot out at the bird.
What type(s) of bowl have you tried?

See if he'll go in the shower and see what he does. Make the temperature like room temperature, not warm or hot. See if he responds to that. Also play in the water and show him how fun it is. I know that sounds silly but that's how I got Buddy to start taking showers, it had to be a group (flock) activity, like hey she's having fun, I want to have fun too!

Bell isn't a fan of baths either. When I spray she just tris to get as far away in the cage as possible. Same with baths. Now I just take her in the shower once A week and she gets a good rinse down then sits on the perch looking at me like I'm a weirdo.
