Hi again!
First of all I'd like to apologize for my english - as I'm not a native speaker (though I'm a freelance English teacher) I might not know some special terms, e.g. names of colour mutations, names of species or breeds or other terms.
Let me introduce my budgie flock.
At the moment I have 8 budgies (actually 8 and 1\2))) as today we have had one chick hatched). They are 4 couples.
The first couple are Katyusha and Kesha

The third couple (the youngest): Phil and Marina.
These are of my biggest interest in breeding. They both come from rainbow coloured parents and Marina's grandfather also was crested.
This is Marina's grandfather

And these are my birdies' parents:

And one more couple: Roma and Ryumochka. They are nesting at the moment. Yesterday there hatched the first chick and today it has come the second. There is one more egg in the clutch. So I have some busy and nervous time. It is their first nesting and I'm nervous just like if they were my children.:11:

Thanks!
I've managed to make some photos of my birds' nesting. It's not easy as they are very nervous about any interference in their private life.
The chicks are so fragile! Look like little shrimps!
All three babies have come. Their parents feed them as I can see. I give them boiled quail egg mashed with grated carrots and semolina (of course, in addition to regular seeds), and one teaspoon of fresh sprouts every two or three days.
Here is the mother on her eggs:

The first and the second "little shrimps":

Three of them! And you can see how guickly they grow as the difference between the first two chicks and the youngest one is obvious, though they hatched in the period of 24 hours.

The father actively takes part in feeding the mother and the kids. And he is very angry when she comes out of the nest and tries to make her go back there.

Hi everyone!
All my baby budgies have found new homes! I'm happy and also sad. Miss them so much!
Here in our contry it's winter now. It's unusual warmth outside - adout +10 Celcium, no snow, everything is "50 shades of grey". This makes me feel depressed. Only my birds - this noisy, fussy burst of colour - cheer me up.

It must have been sad seeing your little ones go, but good at the same time that they all found homes! Your birds have beautiful color mutations. Yes, as you say, the weather can definitely affect our moods. Thank you for sharing again :).
