A lone budgie hen, soon to have friends and a family.
Is there any way or tips on how to "re-tame" a flighted budgie that has had bad experiences with human hands for a year or two. She had also been eating seeds only for that time span as well. I tried mixing smallish pieces into the seeds, which didn't work. Are there any ways could I entice her to eat raw veggies/greens and bird mash? Hmmmm... I'll take a look around at other threads/forums too.

As for the food, start by sprouting whatever seed she is already eating.

As for retaking, start from scratch. Bribes, slow movement, lots of time. I suggest sitting by the cage and reading to her as well. You will have to work inside the cage until she is tame if you want to keep her flighted.
