It was a very hard decision to make, and I kept arguing (with myself) against it...

Max is now 9 months old - he has always been very independent, but the last few weeks, he has refused to step up to go back into his cage, even using treats... Of course this is all my own fault, as I just let him do his own thing and fly as he wished, and only asking him to step up, when it was time to go back into his cage...

I have cut 3 flight feathers on both sides - it slows him down, but he can still fly to the top of his cage and his playstand... Longer flights he looses height...

I tried to towel him, while I cut the feathers, but couldn't, so I just put him on his back and snipped.... He didn't even try to bite, and I only got a small scratch from his claw... He was such a good boy, and I honestly felt so bad for doing it, but now that he can't follow me by flight, I'll get more opportunities to have him step up without it being the end of the fun...
