Need answer!

I pet cockatile is really sick and needs help, I found him on the flor of his cage all puft up and now the does not care about anything and can hardly walk, my mum thinks it might be the cold can someone pleas help? Ps sorry for the spelling and pleas corect me if I have anything wrong.

By all means, get him to the vet now. He is going down fast. Is he an old bird or young?

He DEFINITELY needs to be seen by an Avian Vet ASAP. Birds don't get like that, they hardly ever show signs of being ill, until they're really really ill.

Regardless if he's feeling better tight now, he still needs to go in to see what was wrong in the first place. Next time he may not recover!

If I were you I would still take him to see the vet. Something caused him to act that way. It is better to be safe than sorry. Do you have an avian vet nearby?

I did take him to a vet, they sed he is probably only cold.

Is his cage located near a vent, windows, door ways, etc? Where he can catch a drift...

phhhew! thank goodness hes better! keep him warm, but not too warm. you could give him a warm bath and dry him off nice and toasty :), or give him some warm, but not hot, bird safe food like plain oatmeal, or a little bit of plain (no cinimon) apple sauce. good luck :D
