I'm at my dads visiting and I left for 2 days to go to the lake and left andi at my dads, so I went to her cage today and she didn't want to step up and bit me but I got her to step up anyway and then she ran straight behind her ladder on her playgym and hid there? Was she mad at me for "leaving" her? Oh. I gave her some millet and she's normal again:)

Yes, all animals have feelings and birds being the social creatures they are can certainly show how they feel. She probably was upset with you for leaving her. Your her flock and that can be scary and upsetting for them to be left by those they feel closest too. Basically, if you do it again make sure you have more millet on hand :p

She's probably just upset that you were gone but she will definitely get over it. I almost always leave our alexandrine's cage door open and on the off chance that I do have to lock her in her cage she definitely gets mad about it! It usually only takes a couple treats and her realizing I'm not closing the door forever and she gets over it.

Our budgie Sadie lets me know when she's not happy with me as well, there are some days where I have to get her out for lots of short play times instead of a few long ones and rather than flying back to me everytime I call she will just stand there and give me this, "I don't have to listen to you, I'm mad at you" look. Luckily, much like children, it never lasts long ;)

Oh! Yes indeed. Don't let their size get you thinking they are not as smart as the larger birds. They will let you know when they are upset with you. But they forgive easy to but sometimes it cost you, lol.
