I would look for her also put out missing posters she may come back never give up hope my friends macaw escaped five months ago and they have just today being reunited with each other
i lost my budgie and i just listened for her chirp if yours chirps when theres excited and stuff a twig sticking out of a bush pushed up her door open and she flew out! i found her about 20-30 mins later down the street! just keep looking!
If you have other budgies you can put them ouitside (in the cage of course) and their chirps will attract her, then when she eventually approaches you can catch her using a net preferably cause its the most chance you might have of actually catching her, we've recaptured a lot of budgies that way
Where are you located. There is a parrotalert.com network you could check. I'd definitely put up flyers, check with any neighbors, call local vets and petstores and animal control. We found a cockatiel, and those are the things we looked for and places we called.
If you don't have any other budgies to attract him, try playing budgie sounds off of youtube on your phone such as this: [ame="http://youtu.be/Hz6L8dlGYkQ"]From the best selling album 'Happy Budgies' - YouTube[/ame]
When I play this, my two 6 month old budgies would come of their cage and investigate the noise, they will also try to respond to it.
Unfortunately he's probably quite a ways away to even attempt to lure him back. When they first fledge, they fly fly fly....You could attempt it, but I highly doubt he'll be around...Good luck finding him!
