Of course I have rubbed off on my 12 y.o. son. He wanted a bird of his very own. So he has mowed lawns all summer and saved up every single penny. I thought he was saving for his first hunting gun. Well, he surprised me today when he walks in the door with a bird. He was proud as a peacock holding Sunny. He bragged of course that he only spent $20.00 on the 3 year old bird. Which I'm glad to say, likes Shane. He also notes that he still has enough to put down on his first hunting gun. LOL But the lady just fell in love with Shane and my husband and knew that Sunny was going to a great home so she gave them the deal of a lifetime.
I'm happy Shane is happy and I'm so glad he's helped me with Eva all this time to learn how to clean the cage and feed daily. But you know who is going to be caring for the bird when school starts. LOL (It's okay, I'm up for it)
