my female cockatiel has just had 3 baby cockatiels and are 3 -4 weeks old.
After I pulled the babies at 2.5 weeks of age, I separated them that day & have them in the same cage with a divider.

she laid an egg sometime this afternoon on the bottom of her cage.
she has never done this before, so I'm wondering if she is double clutching? I don't know what the time span is for double clutching so I thought I would ask all of you.

Yes that does happen! Did you separate the parents? The only way to really help is to put her alone and cut the interaction with her period. I even remove all the toys within cause my female does the same thing....

It's the parents I separated, they have a divider between them, maybe cause she is so close to her mate, it's triggering her to lay more eggs?

It is a possibility! Has she tried to do anything with the egg at all?

nope, nothing, it's in the corner of the cage...I guess we will know more tomorrow if she lays another one, so you think she is fallow?...interesting, I wondered about that some time ago, but figured she was Lutino. ok here's another question....her very first baby is a cinnamon pied, presumably male, he sings and talks. if the males are suppose to be solids and the females are the pearl pied, how did it work that the first one born is a male??if he's a cinnamon pied...remember my other post about "is it a pearl cockatiel"....well he's from the same parents, but this clutch I got two pearl pieds and 1 lutino....or maybe a fallow?....genetics is confusing!, lol
