I know that ginger is a nice treat for birds; but is it safe to let them drink lemon and ginger tea.
I bought some the other day, it's a health food brand, and I thought if i made it cold, a little bit might be a nice refreshing treat for my buddies.
Does anyone know if it would be okay to give a bit to them?

the ingredients are:
ginger 25%
apple 19%
rosehip
hibiscus
nature identical flavours 5%
lemon peel 5%
orange peel
elderberry
citric acid
chicory

I also have a ringneck and a lovebird
Would it be okay for them?

Everything in there sounds good. I give my birds an "herb salad mix" that has those & more herbs. My lovebird & cockatiel join me for breakfast every morning, and will not leave until I've given them each a small sip of tea. Just a taste will not harm your birds. Plus, the natural health properties of herbs, teas, & fruit juices are good for our fids, and give them something that's not in their seed or pellet mixes. I've used these beverages to moisten pellets for my fids. Just as a change for them.

In most cases, things that are healthy for us area also healthy for our birds (except for avocado and chocolate which are good for us but poison to birds). I would share some of this with my birdy. You can even serve it warm if you want.

I gave some to my ringneck and he loved it, i took it off him though because i was a bit worried he would have too much. My cockatiels weren't interested though, as usual.

Lemon is not good for birds. Since the tea have citric acid and other stuff in it, I suggest you to avoid to feed tea for birds. Also, a lot of ginger can be harmful for birds so we need to limit it into small amounts.
