Hi, im new to this whole bird thing so sorry if I posted it in the wrong place but just a question, can I have normal bamboo as a perch for my parrotlet if I made it? and would it effect it if it chewed it?

thanks

welcome to the forum Adam
that is a good question. I question the ones you see at the dollar store, I'm not sure where they came from or if they are treated with anything that might harm your bird.

I'm not really up on bamboo for birds but if it's an organic bamboo(not sure if there is such a thing as everything seems to be treated these days)....I'm sure that would be ok.

just remember Parrotlets beaks are incredibly strong, so supervision is a must.
remember to pick a small size for those little feet :)
