I had planned a few months back a weekend away with some friends this weekend (Friday-Sunday). One of my cousins was going to stay at my place to watch Tiki and my dog. Unfortunately things have fallen through and she can no longer come. I have found arrangements for my pooch but have yet to find something for Tiki... My teil.
I have adjusted my plans so that I am not gone as long and will now instead only be gone Sat morning - Sunday afternoon. Will she be ok for that period of time by herself (if I leave extra food/water). Or should I just not go. I am willing to cancel if that will be best for Tiki. She is still adjusting to her new home but she really does love to out of her cage exploring.
Another quick question is in regards to work. I have had the last 3 days off but go back to work next week. I normally work 8 hr shifts but sometimes I have to pull a 10. Is she ok to be left along that long of a day? Or will it be too hard for her to bond with me then?? My parents can stop by to visit when I work a 10.
