I know male budgies are supposed to have blue above their beaks but what I thought was my female she's got a bluey-purple colour going on anyone know a way to tell if she's a female or not :)

When females get ready to mate, their cere will go brown and crusty. But other than that it is usually blue. So if you spot any brown, you'll know for sure :)

The yellowface (not green) budgie is male. The blue budgie is female. Males should not have white ceres! That's how you can tell them apart!

Monica is correct but Mayden is right about during mating time they turn crusty brown.
