I've been saying I don't need more birds then just a bit ago I received a message of someone asking me to take their female tiel. They don't know a thing about her since they haven't had her long. The people they got her from isn't home much at all so she isn't friendly at all. Oh boy, another mean bird for me to train.....lol.....I'll be seeing her shortly.....

My first bird was a parakeet named Buddy (passed away November 8, 2012). My newest friend is a parakeet named Chipper.
That's really kind of you to take in another bird, and an untamed one no less!

I love birds (well, animals in general but I'm really fascinated with birds), but I know I can't take care of another one. I only have Chipper, but she's enough! And she's so stubborn and jealous that she would go nuts if I brought in another bird!

I do tell people no depending on what type! Bella is in quarantine now then she can be with the other tiels. So it's not that much trouble. I will not take in conures! I declined sun conures and recently a nanday. But now I have 3 other bird lovers that tells me they would take them. So if I get another call they can take those. I usually take them in and make sure they're healthy and been with me for quite awhile before I rehome them. And I am finicky where they go! :)

I had two in the past and they drove me to the edge of insanity.....lol

When I moved I left them with my best friend as they like him better anyways. He still have one as one of them died for some reason. I got away from them over 13 years ago....lol

I just had her out of her cage. She's quite curious and actually pretty friendly once she's calmed down. I taught her to step up and she learned how to in about 10min. I'm able to pet her, had to move really slow, and she like to have her head scratched. Hummmm...Supposed to be untamed??? She doesn't like me to leave the room or she'll start screaming hell...She definitely needs a flying lesson cause she's crashing into things right now....She'll fly to my shoulders as that's where she's content and happy preening my hair away... :D

Bella is gorgeous!! :D I love her colors- hubs says our next bird should be a tiel!

They're wonderful birds really!!!! You guys should seriously consider them. After having my first one over 16 years ago I fell in love with them ever since. And then I got my partner hooked on tiels. Partner don't like the name Bella, might be changing her name. I dunno if it reminds of my niece, the rotten rugrat with the same name...lol

congratulations, she is very pretty!!!

I had to call my partner up first before going to pick her up and I said, ummm hon, I did a bad thing today, I'm heading to pick up another bird....lol....To my surprise my partner isn't mad with another tiel, but if it had been a macaw, cockatoo, anything that sort I would of been killed...lol....It's because we have our tiels in flight cages so it can handle another tiel. She is pretty isn't she! She's preening away right now and quite content with me. :D

She is really pretty. I love cockatiels, my first bird was a cockatiel. I would get a cockatiel if Mango my YSA would get along with one. I always wanted a lutino.

I have two Lutino girls! I love the Lutinos as well!!!! You can keep them separately, my big birds don't get along with the smaller birds either. :)

She is very pretty. I haven't had tiels in years, I do miss the way they sound. Well if she was untamed you tamed her by accident lol!
