I finally decided that having an open wire travel cage for my budgeis is not a good thing, aka hazard to health being one of those very flimsy little ones that I wouldn't happily keep any bird in.
So.. in an effort to consolidate space and funds I pulled out Porter's old cat carrier being an all plastic one that doesn't have the visible view that his new one does...
And set it up as a carrier for Daffy and Blue.
And keeping with my normal idea of conserving space and funds... it is now doubling as their sleep cage as well.
Since Blue has night frights.. the lessened visibility has been a godsend and he no longer has any of those problems.
They aren't quite used to it yet but I think it will work out quite well.
They have no issues going into it at night either so...
Eventually I'll likely get them one like Porter's but for now; the plastic one works.
Happy now that I can break down all those extra small cages I had everywhere and even better?
I CAN STACK THESE!
Meaning I have the top of my dresser for actual use again.
