Hey guys,

I'm completely new to the website and to bird keeping in general.

I recently visited a near-local aviary, and after much browsing, I was recommended either a Quaker, Cockatiel or a Princess Parrot.

A Quaker is out of my price range, and I was hoping for something a little more exotic than a Cockatiel, so the Princess Parrot caught my eye.

The aviary has 4 in stock, between the ages of 8 to 10 weeks old.

I'm just wondering if any members could perhaps shed some light on these beautiful birds?

There are many fact sheets and care info websites, but I would like to hear personal stories regarding these birds, to just cement my decision to buy one.

Also, any tips or information regarding these would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Jake. :)

Welcome to the forums.

I don't know how many other princess parrot owners we have, but we have had recent members with regent and superb parrots each of which are close relatives of the princess parrot and are most likely similar in many respects. Anything that applies to those would likely apply to the princess as well.
