Pineapple & Sunshine--Gray/wildtype male cockatiels
What does your bird do that's funny, or just plain cute? Post it here!

Both of my birds have hilarious personalities. Like Sunshine; who plays peekaboo under a towel, a tissue, or anything that feels like fabric. He also lets me brush his crest with a hairbrush.

Pineapple gives kisses, and is full of attitude. He knocks his perch twice for my immediate attention, and enjoys singing in his brother's ears to annoy him (poor Sunshine!). They both whistle a 'hello song' whenever I pass by the cage or perch. They are full of strange noises, and invent a new noise everyday.

That's adorable. To ask for a treat, my birds just open their mouths like baby barn swallows!

Dusty: Dusky Conure
Dusty plays peek-a-boo when he is in his cage and i am sitting at the dinign room table. there is a cabinet by his cage and he will run out from the part of his cage that is blocked by it. chatter. then run back into the hidden area then poke is head back and chatter some more. When i say "peek-a-boo dusty" he gets excited starts chattering more and hides. and then pops his head back out and waits for me to say "peek-a-boo dusty" before he hides again

We could write a novel about bird stories. Mabye our parrots think what we do is funny!! From a parrot's perspective what they do most likely makes good bird sense. My Rosie just ate my TV remote after trying to keep it away from her all these months. She looked at me with a red button in her beak as if to day "I got it". How they love electronics.

What our parrots would say if they could post on a forum????
I often wonder what they think of the silly thing we do.
LoL perhaps is better that they could not answer.
Take care

I'm pretty sure our birds are pretty confused about what we humans do, Pineapple always looks so fascinated when I brush my teeth.

You should have seen my Max's face the first time he went into the bathroom with me. I could hear him saying, "Seriously? This is how you do it?"

Yes, birds are the greatest creatures you can own (in my opinion). I love my babies, and I would highly recommend a bird for you. :)

Puffin sits on his swing watching my cleaning lady as she moves his cage and vaccums around it, he swings faster and faster the closer she gets to his cage and as soon as she moves the cage back he flips himself upside down and flaps his wings really fast so all the muck at the bottom of the cage flies out and she has to come back and vaccum all over again, then you would swear he laughs at her!:p

I had an all white Red cheeked cockatiel named Sparky

He would whistle La kooka rocha and Bob his head up and down.
I dont bob my head up and down LOL

he was really fun i changed the words as i sang
we would cook together and he always came in when i was boiling chicken .
for Dumplings or soup.

so the words went like this
La kooka rocha,La kook a Rocha Chicken boiling in da pot
La kooka rocha,La kook a Rocha It is getting really hot.
he knew he got some when it cooled down.
another thing he did is when we got him a female .
My hubby taught him to say Hay Baby..
that was a long long time ago but it still makes me smile. Tammy:white1:

The other night I come home from work, it's late, it's dark and the birds are covered, I walk past the cages and Maki (the green cheek conure) says in her gravely voice:

"Hey Jason!"
I responded, "yes Mak-Mak."
"I love you, mmmmmmmuah!"

I mean, really, how does that not make your night?

Jade has started hanging upside down on her Boing to get to the almonds on her string o' nuts. When she gets to one, she just hangs there enjoying the head-rush, I guess.

My husband and I have several motorcycles and last night I was helping him add some modifications to one of his. We were in the garage most of the evening with a couple trips into the house. During one of the trips through the living room, Max did a "takee" - held his foot out to be picked up. Since he's clipped, I let him step on to my shoulder come out to the garage. He was fascinated by my husband's bright yellow sport bike. Stood up straight and leaned over to get as close as he could. I tried to get him to stand on the mirrors but he just wanted to bite on them. I would have put him on the seat if that part of the bike hadn't been disassembled. He wasn't interested in the white, black or maroon bikes, just the yellow one. I'm going to do my best to get a picture of the 2.
