I brought this little girl home the other day and noticed that her cere was a little strange looking - can anyone help?

That's a female parakeet and when their cere turn crusty brown it means they're in mating mood.

Hi and thank you again - I thought that was what it was but wanted to be sure. My male was starting a very disturbing feather plucking habit and I got this sweet little lady hoping she would help him. So far so good.

We also have a blue and gold macaw, Mickey is over 40 years old a rescue from a pet store.

Please do post some pictures of your babies when you get the chance! ;)
