Birdie, my Lutino lovebird.
It's so cute! I also like how it's all fluffed up. Thank you for sharing. :)

So cute. Looks like my Rocky!
You probably already know this, but when they change colour to grey it means they are male :)

Do the males have grey crests too?

That's kind of what's happening. He's only 3 months so I think he's got a while before he's going to be grey.

Bruno (male Grey Cockatiel, under a year old)
So cute! Bruno has been going through his first molt. He has been getting in alot of yellow on his head and the underside of his tail has turned solid grey. It's cool/bitter sweet to see them grow up!

He's getting kind of temperamental with it. However I made progress with Trish the abandoned parakeet. She's just never wanted to approach me but since I got sweetie she's wanting to now:)
They grow fast.

My first bird was a parakeet named Buddy (passed away November 8, 2012). My newest friend is a parakeet named Chipper.
They do get kind of cranky when they're molting, especially if it's their first time. They'll be a little bit more moody and unpredictable...sometimes they're friendly like usual, and other times they just want to be left alone and might bite if you bother them too much. I've found though once they've been through molting a couple of times, they seem to mellow out and it doesn't bother them quite as much. Chipper (my budgie) is molting right now too, and she is wanting a little more time to herself right now and sometimes gets a little stubborn and nippy if she doesn't want to come out of her cage. But if I can get her to come out, she still doesn't mind to be petted and will show affection by nibbling on my face, etc. She loves attention, but also wants a little bit more time to herself right now.

Once they're finished molting, it will be like nothing happened and they're back to their old selves.
