He is completely ridiculous. His latest discovery of self appears to be "general mayhem." You can see in the still picture how his cage floor is COVERED in pellets. He used to eat them, now he sits on the bowl and scoops them onto the floor and chirrups like crazy. It would be annoying if he weren't SO HAPPY while doing it.

The sandwich needed destroying because bread is soft and destroyable, and nothing to do with whether it is recognizable as food. When I handed one of his torn off bits back, he ate it lol
