Is my budgie fat?

I keep reading if there is a vertical crease down the front, they're overweight. Or is this muscle? He's pretty active but he can eat as much as he wants. Anyone want to 'weigh in' on this?

What a great shot! Your budgie doesn't look the slightest bit fat, as a matter of fact he looks in excellent condition. The crease is sometimes from the way the feathers lay. Flighted budgies (as they should be) have large, firm muscled chests. A budgie that's flying around all day doesn't get fat...at least never in my experience. That happens to perch potatoes.

Wow, I love the picture! He seems totally normal to me. If he is active and flies a lot he must be in a good shape.

Thank you all for complimenting my bird and my blurry photo. I guess I won't worry unless he gets too fat to become airborne.
