Hey everybody I need help. My one year old male budgie has been in love for almost two weeks now and its driving me crazy. I'm assuming the warmer weather has triggered his mating instincts and he seems to be obsessed with feeding my hands. He's like a magnet he flies to my hands and won't go away that's all he wants from me is to kiss my hands and regurgitate seeds to them. Next thing he will be trying to mate with my hands and that's when I am going to flip out. He also spends all day in his cage kissing his reflection. My question is how in the heck do i get him to quit??? All I want is for it to stop and for him to go back to his normal self because he is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

I think removing the cause of the reflection (mirror) and rearranging the cage is a good place to start.

I don't have budgies, but when my cockatiels start offering more spring-time activities than i'd like to receive, I definitely find that re-arranging their cages and adding some new toys and different textured perches snaps them out of it pretty quickly.
