I've seen this video before! Love it. I also want to prove that budgies aren't stupid with S'mores, because she knows variety of things, but unfortuantely, at the moment, I do not have a camera. Will be getting one soon, hopefully.

Nothing angers me more than people saying they think budgies are stupid, useless, pathetic, and dumb (I've heard all stated and worse).

Well I enjoyed it, thought others might too, I can't imagine how much time a patience it took to train them all individually then to train them to work together as a group, quite the smart little group of keets :)

Those budgies were awesome wow, such fragile creatures with large brains.
Imagine the hours of training them, they all worked so well together
They are more intelligent than some humans I have had encounters with
The next time someone tell me I have a bird brain I WILL DEFINITELY TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT

I've seen this before too...I've even supplied the link to people who think Budgies aren't quite as intelligent as other parrots. They are very smart little birds, and can have a vocab of 1000 words or more!

I saw this video a long time ago, but I am still so fascinated by it. Those budgies are smarter than some people I know.....they are definitely smarter than me ;)

Think I better show this vid to my birds, make them tow that line a little, you know what I'm saying..... :p

:pYou are a bird brain, Ant:p! When I was six I thought budgies were pathetic because of their size, and wanted a macaw:eek::eek::eek:. What was I thinking?! And now I NEED budgies.

Oh I love it!

I'm so fond of budgies.

I helped a family friend in his nursery rearing babies for years and I was so upset when he had to stop. He had chronic asthma and diabetes.

He rewarded me with my very first bird, Buster. A yellow darling with a deformed foot. He couldn't use it at all. For this reason, he was no good to this man as he bred for show.

He landed on me, groomed me, said his name, said hello and learnt how to confuse my mums dog Poppy a little shih tzu by calling her name in something bordering uncannily like me! He died aged 8 when I was 16 and I was distraught.

I'll never forget him and how funnily clever he was though. Thanks for the memories lil guy.

Buster sounds like a great lil bird. The budgies / keets are so playful and clever even as they are tiny and fragile. SO much personality packed into so little space!

He was brilliant Barbara.

I could never quite bring myself to have another after him.

I saw some in the pet shop the other day and some cockatiels. Brought back so many memories. I had to walk away quickly as there was one that looked just like Bus but with two working feet lol.

I was nearly tempted by an especially extrovery tiel as well so it's a good job I left when I did lol.

I used to have Budgies as a young girl, they were always entertaining and rather clever little things. ONe thing we should all agree upon is this, Any of our Fids ARE capable of their own little tricks/acts, we just have to help encourage them to perfect some their natural abilities to be silly little birds. A little encouragement goes a LONG way.

There's NO WAY Budgies are "stupid" birds, quite contrary!
