Can someone with experience tell me if it is a good idea to raise two hand-fed budgies together in a single cage? Will they remain tame, or will they become wild and afraid of me over time? Should I just buy one bird?

If they are both hand-fed and you get them together, they can definitely stay tame :) You have a huge advantage if they are hand-fed (as opposed to chain store birds) so if you just keep working with them and feeding them treats in your hand and spending a lot of time with them, they will stay tame. That's awesome if you get two because then they'll have each other for company too. Just be sure to spend a lot of time with them to maintain the tameness they will have from being hand-fed. I would definitely get two! :)

I used to have two budgies and i bought them untame. I tamed them and they both were in the same cage. I just had them out everyday and they still loved me! :)
