Split pied budgie?

Hi, I have a budgie named Little Chrissy. He is going to be 1 next month, but I couldn't help but notice a few things. Chrissy is different then my last 3 budgies (other then being male and yellow based) he has blotchy feet, and a little yellow spot on the back of his head. It made me remember my cockatiel who is a split pied. Could my budgie be a split pied?

He sounds fascinating. I'm no parakeet expert, but I bet the resident ones here will ask for a picture!

There are different 'kinds' of pied in budgies. Dominant pied, recessive pied, double factor dominant pied, combination pied, etc. Budgies have so MANY mutations and can have combinations of mutations together. Mink, my female English for example, is an adult with solid dark eyes (no iris rings as would be normal for her coloring). It indicates she is split to recessive pied. How about pics of Chrissy?

Aww, little baby boy

. The yellow spot on the back of his head is sooo small, it might just be an 'odd' colored one popped out, and could turn normal with the adult molt. Dominant pied can have a light blotch on the back of the head, but bigger, and pied markings on the body also. Chrissy is an adorable little bird.
