I've recently moved my quaker parrot in to live with my Girlfriend and I, but he is acting very aggressively towards her, which is expected. I need help with knowing how to at least reduce his aggression toward her. He lunges at her when ever she goes past him or moves a bit. This morning he bit her hard enough to make her bleed for little reason other than she was there.
She is trying very hard to get along with him. I suspect it is a jealousy thing.
I really need to know how to help him get along with her so if anyone know how to deal with such a situation any tips would be great.:D

Most parrots are ruled by their bellies. Figure out his most special treat is, and she should be the only one to give it to him. With out you in the room.

It's NEVER the fault of the Parrot! It's ALWAYS the fault of the Human! Working from this vantage point will allow you to see much quicker what you are doing wrong and fix it!

I guess that you have not work at Socializing your Parrot long before you choose to move. And, now you have placed your Friend between your Parrot and You! Yup, your Parrot is displaying jealousy.

This is not her fault, nor is the fault of the Parrot! So, you need to fix this and you need to tell her that its not her fault, nor is it the fault of the Parrot. You need to Socialize your Parrot!

At the top of this page is the Banner, at the bottom of the Banner is a group of buttons, of which one is Search. Complete a Search of Socialize /Socializing.

For your good Friend, She gets to bring only Good Things to the Parrot! All the Treats she gets to provide. Only good things happen when She is around.

Yes, much progress. He sits on her knee, sings with her and does tricks for her. He still doesn't want her to touch him, maybe he never will. When he's upset and lunges at her he doesn't look like he's actually trying to bite her, just warning her to back off, no different than with me. Thank you all for the advice, it has helped alot. :)
