Ok, this is a shaky topic to go into... many members on here don't like breeders because of all the shelters. In Oz it is way different, I haven't found a single shelter with birds and breeders are recommended over pet stores. Marigold and Skye raised a successful clutch back in January through to March. I initially wanted to breed them again in February-March next year but now I'm wondering whether I should pair up late December, during my school holidays, so I could hand rear if something went wrong and be there at all times. If I paired them up February-March, it might clash with the annual moult and cause extra stress.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.:D

If this is the second clutch of the year, it would be fine to go ahead and set them up again. I never let mine triple clutch.

Seeming that spring / summer is thr usual time got birds to breed it would make sense to
me that now or soonish would be a good time to do this as it would be keeping with nature
as you say it would also allow them to be baby free come moulting and winter

Only you can really know what suits you and your birds but if they have only bred once this season then I can't see the harm in it
