I have four budgies in one cage. Two are for sure females and the others i think are males. They are too young to tell. The two Elsa and Raj liked each other from the start.
They feed and groom each other and sleep side by side.
The last few days i have noticed that they have been sitting at the bottom of the cage. Every day its more often. I have also noticed that Elsa has a hard time getting around. She drops to the bottom instead of gliding down.
So does this mean she is going to lay eggs? If so what should I do? If not why is this happening?

Bwt Elsa is about 2 1/2 and Raj is about 4 months.

I think it is probably best to take her to a Certified Avian Vet for a check up as you have no clue.

I have two thoughts, one she may be egg bound or is generally unwell , both need quick vet attention!

Vet! preferably yesterday

any sudden change in behavior means get to a vet That sounds a lot like being egg bound which is as serious a condition as you can get. The falls won't help and have probably made the situation far worse. Be prepared for lots of antibiotics

that thing on her beak is worrying to me. Is that just food or a growth?

Remember none of us are vets so if you need advice medically speaking then you need to get to your CAV
