Two parakeets. Kindle and Charlie
As a christmas present for my birds I got my two parakeets a calcium perch, That is pink that helps grind down there nails and there beak. So I woke up this morning and I saw one of my parakeets where his face was yellow it was completly pink. And my other ones wings where they were supposed to be white hey were pink. And both of there feet were pink. I sat and watched them for awhile and say that they chew the perch witch was what was intended. And then I saaw Kindle rubbing his head all over it. Charlie followed.lol It is like they are little kids running around with a marker drawing on themselves. And all the other perches in the cage. Well my question here is. Do you think it is safe? And should I leave it in the cage?

I've been told that these perches are safe and actually good for birds who need extra calcium - like greys. I wouldn' worry much...
