What is this gesture?

Harry budgie
Harry and I have been roomies for a week now. He was silent for a few days but now he cheeps on occasion. Sings along to budgies on you tube and sings to the "NYPD Blue" theme song which I stream nightly.
One thing he does a lot is stretch his folded wings straight up and back down. Is he telling me something or just stretching?

Lol...they will make you nuts when you first get them. They have the intelligence of a 2-3 year-old human child, and what separates their intelligence from that of a dog or a rat or a pig or any other very intelligent "pet" is that parrots actually use logic and reasoning.

So think of your Budgie's gestures from now-on like you do the gestures that people make; sometimes gestures mean something, and sometimes they're just stretching their wings....It all depends on the situation, who they are will, and what is going on in that moment...They do "stretch their wings" quite a bit to simply "stretch" them, just like they adjust their crops, stretch their legs, etc. But if they are making a physical motion/gesture during a particular situation, you should be able to tell the difference and understand what they are trying to say to you or tell you...And this ability just develops over-time. Pretty soon you'll know all of Henry's little gestures, sounds, "contact-calls" for you, etc.
