Currently I have two Budgies, Sam a blue/violet budgie and Charlie Our Green budgie :D but we are looking to get at least one if not 2 more and a cockatiel!! Update when it happens!
So my little sister got a couple of budgies a few months back and ive been trying to help her take care of them better (shes nine and their mom doesnt really know much about their care.) so ive been researching and switched their diet from only seeds to about 10% seeds and 90% pellets. (They LOVE the pellets) I really want them to start eating some veggies though too. Any advice on how to do that or Favorites that every budgie seems to take to? I put a piece of lettuce in their last night and it looks like they nibbled on it but im not 100% sure. Also in the process of building them a bigger cage! (64" by 22" by 48") (length depth height) She originally got this male blue budgie and we where able to get him to step up a few times, and he didnt freak out every time she came near or into the cage :blue2: but a few weeks later she got a green budgie (sex still unknown tbh) and s/he is very wary of everything and freaks out as soon as you put your hand in the cage. :greenyellow: :( and since then the blue bird has tagged along in being scared. theyve warmed up a bit but wont go anywhere near our hands even with millet or food :(. Sorry this is alot!! general advice is always appreciated!!

My budgies nibble on hanging leaves of green stuff, and fine chop of other veggies, sometimes see them nibble on the big chunks I have for my other birds.. sounds like you are doing a great job! What pellets do your budgies like?
