Hello All,
I am very new to this forum and am so happy I found you all.
Our family just brought home two little budgies yesterday. They are so cute but still look very scared as they have not been moving too much.
I've been up all night reading about them and understand that it will take some time for them to get more comfortable. Hopefully sooner =)

I was just wondering if you experts can help me with identifying their genders.
Both of their cere seem to be similar in color so are they the same gender?

Thank you all in advance.

Meely

Not a budgie expert, but I’m pretty sure you have two females because of the white rings around their nostrils on their ceres. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in!

"Southern Belle" a blue female
"Beau Dandy" a green male
Look like female to me for both of them, they appear to be relatively young birds still though, they haven't even gone through the first molt that gives them the old man haircut with the barring on the head, and it could be that they are too young to be certain

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
I also vote both are young ladies
