So my wife bought a lovely pair of birds. I'm pretty sure of the genders but I'm after others opinions. Sadly the pictures aren't the best but I'm sure we can manage.

I'll start with the hen. She's a lovely pale pastel colour

Cere is a lovely brown and somewhat rusty looking so I'm fairly sure its a female although always a chance I'm wrong.

This is what we are hoping is the male. I didn't get a shot with his wings but he is a spangle

I'm terrible with budgie gender ID aside from normal/wild type. I'm hoping I was right but we'll see I guess.

Dowels aren't the best on their feet long term. So you want to add natural wood perches and rope perche's. But you probably already know this ;)

The female worries me as she looks a tad thin. Be sure to keep seperate from your other birds, until you get a vet check with gram stain..

The hen is pretty skinny but she was in a hugely overcrowded aviary so probably not getting enough food. Will worm both to be sure. The cage they are in at the moment is the transport cage which is why the dowels. Haven't had a chance to get their cage sorted yet as its just chaos here at the moment. This is why

Not to mention it's nearly Christmas plus all my other birds and a teenager. Surprised I have time to breathe at the moment.

Thanks for the gender confirmations. Nice to know I was right for a change.
