So we have the new, larger cage. Finally. Thank you amazon. However it needs to be assembled so that will hopefully happen this weekend. Since I ordered the cage we have been trying to get Skye to step up onto a wooden perch that we hold. It’s taken a few days but he’s finally got the hang of it. I can slowly and gently move the perch around a bit in his cage and he’s fine. The second I get to close to the door he jumps off. We are holding the millet just outside of the door hoping to bribe him. Nope. That isn’t working. Yet. I don’t want to reach in and grab him but I may *have* to. Or just wait. I really hate the cage he’s in now. Should we just wait until he is comfortable?
