Any advice on what this is?!

Hello, I adopted a female Budgie and since Iā€™ve had her Iā€™ve noticed her vent area being swollen. Today while trimming her nails I felt this area and it was soft but looked like small ball. Silly question but could this just be an egg or something more serious like a tumor? Iā€™ve tried to research but havenā€™t found anything that is similar. She is molting and I found out from previous owner she tends to pulk feathers around this time in her vent area. Previous owner also said her vent area has looked this way for a while. Any advice would be great, thanks. Jill

How long have you noticed this? It could be shes egg bound and if thats the case she needs a vet ASAP but your wording makes it sound like this has been going on for awhile and egg binding is a fast killer so if it's been like this for awhile I would imagine it has to be a tumor or something else but there's no way for us to know for she and she will need to see a certified avian vet to get a definite diagnosis.

Thank you for responding. I donā€™t think sheā€™s egg bond. This has been going since I got her few months back. I will do some research to try and find a vet in my area.
