I have 2 budgies Percy (female) and Beckett (male).

After living together for over 1.5 years, Percy suddenly started laying eggs. Even after moving them into separate cages she laid 12 eggs over about 2 months and ended up at the emergency vet egg bound.

They now live in separate rooms. Percy is going back to the vet tomorrow for another Lupron injection. It's only been 2 weeks since the last shot and she's starting to show hormonal behavior again...

I can't keep them in separate rooms forever, my house isn't big enough. I saw advice on a breeding site about keeping them separate for 6-8 weeks and then reintroducing them?

I'm hoping someone else can share their experience with this? Will I eventually be able to put them back in the same room? Maybe with a curtain or something to break line of sight?

I don't know the best advice. Make sure no nest stuff. Re arrange the cage, sometimes that makes them feel that the environment isn't as ideal for babies.
See what light and day cycle could help.

Oooh that’s a tough one! Once they get something into their brains like this it can be hard to get them to stop! Hopefully with the hormonal injections and some time apart Percy will break from the egg laying cycle and you can reintroduce them, but they will need to be housed in separate cages going forward to prevent any further shenanigans!

EDIT: Also look into her diet and try to eliminate high energy foods and try to get her to eat more vegies and more exercise.
