guys so over the past few days mavis is going full crazy on my fingers and thumbs , is this hormonal behaviour does he wants to breed with my thumb?? how do i stop it, he is paired with a hen they get along fine he loves to kiss her my plan is not to breed them i didnt want to keep them both alone in seperated cages most of my flock is paired with a friend they can get along with well... mavis is full of energy he can mimics a few words and i can say he is the smartest of the flock but i think its my own mistake because i would play with him with my finger and tickle him now he is trying to feed my fingers and thumb!!! when i try to put him back in the cage he bites me like REALLY HARD and doesnt wants to let go i dont want him to be sad and leave him in the cage everyday should i be worried ? what is this? did i made a BIG mistake to let him play with my fingers ? how do i stop this behaviour?? he is only like 1 year ol

I find Wikihow many times has some useful info and you may find it to help.

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Such a pretty Budgie! Budgies do things like that :) Try thumb wrestling with him. He could also be in love with your thumb lol  My BB whistles to my fingers and nibbles them way too much for my liking.

Those look like luv nibbles. I just guessing here. I think he needs a lot more attention and something else to focus on. More toys might help and I suspect it's important to rotate them so he does not get too attached to one thing. We've also started to teach him more phrases. He'll get interest in my voice more than my daughters, but he will listen to both of us and get up on our shoulder and close to the mouth to really hear what's being said. We start cycling through a handful of phrases by getting close to his outside perch and that will eventually draw him in closer. And I think they are receptive to target training.
