We've never really "tried" to teach our birds to talk. Jade just picked up "Hi" and that one word serves her well in all situations. Ruby seems to pick up everything and practices often. And Max, well, he's never seemed interested in it although he can imitate the squeek of the pantry door and our dogs' "I'm bored" whine. 2 days ago he was sitting on his favorite spot on the curtain rod in the living room and was just chirping away, when out of nowhere he said "hello"! Shocked the whole family! He's said it several times now.

Max's official parront is our son, who's making plans for what he's going to teach next. Since we're huge fans of the TV show, Big Bang Theory, and Alexandrines are native to India, David's going to work on his favorite Raj line from that show, "Aquaman sucks!" We'll see how that goes.

Lovely to hear their first words, just like a human child. Remember to record this previous moment.
Several times he is going to be a chatterbox 24/7, mark my words !!!!!
Sure in time he will latch on to Aquaman sucks................ should be great to hear

Congrats. on having your birds talking. They seem to pick up words even if not taught. Be careful what you say!!

I have to be careful what I say around my birds cause they catch on very quick. The other night I said "Good Boy" to JoJo and he started saying it right away. Willie started saying a bad word he learned from me. I was cleaning my fish tank when the tank top door fell on my head and I cussed.... he caught on right away....lol
