R.I.P. Linius, my Sun conure
Tapa and Tio, Parakeets, Xander 3 month old sun conure
So before I was about to go to bed I was watching my parakeets perching getting ready for bed too. I noticed Tio looked as if he was crouching down a bit. When I got closer I saw that he was panting. The poor baby didnt look too good so I took him out of the cage and his feet and body were burning up!! I took him to the bathroom and sprinkled some luke warm water of his feet and back. It really freaked me out. I think he might be sick. I moved him into another cage because if he's sick I dont want him to get Tapa sick to
After an hour he looked ok again but I dont want to take the risk of it. I'm thinking Quarantining him, but I dont know if he and Tapa will do too well away from each other since they have never been caged separately. Tomorrow my dad is taking me so we can get more supplies to make the cage more suitable for Tio to live in. I also feel bad because its a much larger cage than what Tapa is in. Maybe when the quarantine is over they can both be moved to the big cage. Thats if I do the quarantine. I just dont want them to get depressed over not being together. But I dont want them to get sick either!
