So, as most of you will know, I am in the 'research stages of the next bird. Well, as part of that research, I've been trying to find a manafacturer of DECENT bird cages, not flimsy lil things, and over here, its been quite a challenge. Well I've finally found a fella and below are my two dream cages :D

Wow! Those look nice, but I see a potential problem with trying to catch a bird in that second cage....seems like one that big, would need to be on the ground with a door that a human can gain entrance thru, then a secondary entrance to enter the cage itself. Okay having trouble describing that....and I can't that of the catchy name for it...lol. But the first entrance, prevents any birds from escaping when entering the cage.

What type of bird are you considering getting?

I know exactly what you mean, but its better than the alternative.
None for a while, we are thinking a conure, and eventually a cocky, although I'm loving the CAG stories around here :)
The are big and bulky and square looking, but for the bird, they'll be roomy and sturdy.

Does the side of the second cage open? Maybe you could add another doorway and put some wire round the bottom. to make it escape proof. Looks like a great size for your fid to be. Will the cage be inside or outside?

Oh well, at least if he did get out inside there's no real worry about him dissappearing, I love it, its so big and spacious more like a mansion for him. :D Never seen cages like that here.

yep one side completely opens.
Inside, for sure. I panic about my budgie getting cold inside, let alone out!

Oh, inside...duh...sorry! Somehow I was thinking it was going to be outside, I guess cuz the pic was taken outside.

It's a nice cage....you could probably have a whole flock of budgies in that cage. That would be cool, I love to watch budgies interact together as a community.
