I did not see a thread like this so I thought I would start one (if I missed it you can close/delete this thread).

I see a lot of questions on what kind of cage to get, what kind of toys, etc, so post pictures of your birds cages! Maybe post what kind of cage it is, where you got it, what kind of bird it's for?

My dogs ate my camera cord so I can't post pics of Rio's cage.

Sprite the cinnamon green cheek conure.
Well my birdie isnt in there yet but I have a Santa Cruz California cage. I found it on craigslist for $150 (regular price about $350!) I already have some toys and perches. There is manzanita, ribbon wood, a rope perch and a swing. There is also one of those fuzzy tents. For food im using an Insight Clean cup, for treats im using the crocks that the cage comes with, and for water im using a water bottle.

This is the cage I have for my Scarlet Macaw. It may look huge but it still doesn't really fulfill the minimum cage size for a large macaw in Sweden, which is 360x180x180 cm.
The cage is 250x130x180 cm, or 8'4"x4'4"x6'.
This is the smallest I could ever put a macaw in, but it still has room for a macaw girlfriend. :red::red1:
It is custom built and parrot people in Sweden (at least not the more educated ones - no offense, I'm just talking Sweden now) rarely get "factory made" cages, since those that exist are not made to fulfill the laws we have on cage sizes here, so even the "large macaw cages" are often too small for anything but the smallest birds. :yellow2:

The cage Merlin's using, was used (before Merlin) to temporarily house a Ducorps cockatoo that I was rescue and rehoming. :) He's now residing in a much larger 'macaw' cage of which I'll upload a picture of another time!

Merlins in there now however (with different toys) although I've taken the seed guards off so he can see over the top, and most of his toys reside on the floor as he can't really play with hanging toys.

It's a Montanna Haiti I believe!

The top also opens out with a perch between, but I never used that as it's way too high for me to reach properly and Merlin struggles to perch properly anyway, so I don't think he'd make much use of it :p

I absolutely love this cage and would love something similar if (when ;)) I get a macaw. He's got plenty of space to have a little bit of a flap and a play and that's great! I'm very jealous!

Here is a pic of Hedwigs cage. Since the picture was taken I have added a 6.5 ft tree (inc toys) beside his cage. He uses it as a play stand and goes back and forth from tree to cage

RIP Ricco--Mexican Red Head Amazon
This is the photo of the cage that I took for the lady who had Max before me. She had asked about the cage I had, and I sent this pic to her. However, it now has more toys and one very happy little Sennie inside :) I purchased my cage from Ebay from the seller named xcceries. This seller doesn't always have bird cages, but when they do, they go quick and they are very reasonable with free shipping! :) My sister has an identical cage for her Double Yellow Headed Amazon, and I had used this cage for my Mexican Red Head Amazon before he passed away in June. Definitely worth the buy. I love the heavy lock and the flip lock safety feature :)

Her day area, looks dark in the picture but it was taken on an overcast day. Normally the sun comes through the screen for most of the morning so that she can get direct sunlight. During the day this is her set up, she loose all day (sometimes she puts herself in her cage and will latch it closed then unlatch it and let herself back out - so cute). When she is inside I have a play-gym, similar to the one in the picture that we have in the living room. I also threw in a pic of her sleep cage - where she obviously spends her night. So so spoiled. Eventually we have plans to build an aviary for her as well.

WOW that is some cage, my GW Macaw would love to have a cage that size,
it would take up my whole family room!

I hope this pic works. This is the mansion I bought for my Lovebird Chiku. She doesn't really know how to play with most toys yet so I'm adding them slowly to give her time to get used to each new one. So far, anything with wooden bits that she can chew is a big hit. Loving this new cage though. She looks lost in it but she can fly decently in it and she loves it. She no longer spends her time throwing her food and water out due to boredem. Getting her out of quarantine has done wonders!
