Hi All, I was looking at another thread where some where showing their cage set ups and I noticed that some of you had removed the grill/grate at the bottom of the cage. Is that recommended? If so why?
I have left mine in and now I am not sure I should have. My budgies spend about 5% of their time on the bottom of cage, the cinn GCC about 1% and the tiel about 50%. I was wondering in the past if it was hurting their feet but then I thought it must be better than them playing in their poop and discarded food, which could harbor bacteria etc. What to do? Leave or remove?
