Hello everyone! I am new and would greatly appreciate some advice from you experienced parrot owners. I have a Dusky Conure and I want to buy her a new cage. I can't afford stainless steel, so I am looking at powder coated iron or aluminum. This is my first "real" cage purchase as her current cage is the lower quality/cheaper kind with a plastic bottom that you typically see in pet stores. I'm a little nervous because I don't want to spend my money blindly or regret my purchase. I have been surfing the net for days, trying to get educated, and only seem to grow more confused and frustrated the longer I research! I don't have access to any of the big name brand cage companies' products so I can't compare them in person. I am looking for something of high quality and low toxicity that is user friendly and easy to clean. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with the current lines of HQ, A & E, Kings, Avian Adventures, and Prevue (or anything else you deem worthy to recommend) and how they compare to each other in quality/features/safety. Thank you so much for the help!

I have the same cage and it has worked out well for my little guy except he would much rather be out where the action is.

River would too! lol. When he's in his cage if he can see me, he sits on his boing bobbing up and down. "Lemme outta here!!"

Inca prefers to be wherever we are as well. And she does the "head bob" thing to get our attention... "Please, please, please!" I know my husband will die when he sees how big of cage I want to get for her, since she'd rather not be in it!

Please have a look at my response to your welcome post. I wrote a lengthy post about my birds cages. I hope you find it helpful.
