Hi Everyone, there are two broken latches/locks on Rosie's cage and I'm having a difficult time finding replacements. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find some? I think I've attached a picture, if it doesn't work I'll keep trying until I get it. Thanks!

The best way would be to first find out what brand the cage is, then ask the manufacturer. Those locks look exactly like the type that are on my A&E cage (or at least I assume it's A&E based on the design of the cage as compared to HQ Cages?), so you might try there.

Another option is contacting cage sellers about replacement parts. I know some do, although I can't think of any directly off-hand who do.

I've googled and searched for days and haven't been successful that's when I thought that maybe someone on the forum could help me out. I got the cage with Rosie and there isn't a brand name on it that I can see but maybe you can tell from the picture if it's a brand that you recognize??

The phone numbers are on the bottom of the page. Try giving them a call.

On the other hand it looks like a Petco cage lock.

What parts of it are broken? If you can unscrew it and take that off the cage temporarily, and bring it to any local metal shop, they might be able to make an inexpensive replacement for you! (I some from a family of engineers and mechanics, so for me it'd just be a call to my Dad or big brudder! ;)

iv seen a lot of those locks on cages. but i have no clue where to buy a replacement. sorry. i didnt want to buy a cage with that lock. it just seemed

1. like it would break easy
2. that it would be easy for a bird to open

Great idea!! My husband is in the steel business and knows lots of engineers/mechanics/shop workers, etc. Thanks!!

The cage came with Rosie and I have no idea how the locks got broken.

1. They really look pretty sturdy but something obviously happened to snap them off.
2. I was told that she can open the locks so I keep a large S hook in the end hole and so far - so good!
